Building for Czech families

A calm childhood
in the digital world

Ferda uses AI to spot online threats to your child. You never see their messages. You only hear about it when something's actually wrong.

Mobile app for Android

46%

of Czech children communicate online with someone they have never met.

Not a reason to panic. But a good reason to have something watching out for them.

1

Install Ferda

You download the app on your child's phone. Setup takes about 5 minutes. Your child knows Ferda is there.

2

AI watches over

AI reads notifications and screen content. Your data's security and privacy are our priority. Everyday messages are deleted as soon as possible. For suspicious conversations, AI keeps the history longer — to catch predators who build trust gradually.

3

Alerts only for threats

If the AI detects grooming, cyberbullying, or signs of self-harm, you get a clear alert with context and guidance.

This is how Ferda will work. Testing with families begins in 2026.

Ferda will launch on Android. We're exploring iOS support for the future.

AI detection of real threats
01

AI detection of real threats

Predators build trust slowly. Compliments first, then secrets, then pushing boundaries. It's hard to spot from the outside. AI catches the patterns that humans miss.

It reads context, slang, and multiple languages. It watches for three things: grooming, cyberbullying, and signs of self-harm.

You never see the messages themselves. You only get an alert when the AI flags something real. It won't catch everything — no system does — but it learns and improves.

Private from parents, protected by AI
02

Private from parents, protected by AI

Your kid's conversations, jokes, group chats — you don't see any of it. Think of it like a lifeguard at the pool. They're watching, but they only come to you if someone's actually in trouble.

Reading every message damages trust between parent and child. Developmental research backs this up consistently. Ferda lets AI do the monitoring so you don't have to.

Kids need some privacy to grow up.

Transparency — your child knows
03

Transparency — your child knows

You tell your child: "Ferda watches for danger, not your private stuff. Your conversations are yours." No hidden apps.

Kids who know about the app are more likely to come to you when something goes wrong. That openness matters more than any technology.

Openness over secrecy.

Smart alerts for parents
04

Smart alerts for parents

You won't get 50 notifications a day. When an alert does come, it tells you what kind of risk it is, how serious, and how you might bring it up with your child.

Other apps dump raw data on you and call it parenting. Ferda tells you what actually matters and gives you a starting point for the conversation.

You stay informed without it becoming a second job.

Be one of the first families to test Ferda

We're building something new and we need real families to try it. We're looking for parents willing to install Ferda on their child's phone so we can see how the AI performs in everyday life.

In return, you get free access to Ferda for years. No trial period, no catch. Just our way of saying thank you for being part of this early.

During testing, Ferda runs on your child's apps the same way it will for everyone. We need to see how AI handles real conversations and real situations. No simulation can replace that.

Our team reviews the AI's decisions by hand — checking where it gets things right and where it needs to improve. That's how we make it better.

Your data is used only to improve Ferda. It will never be shared outside our team. Not sold, not passed on, not used for anything else.

Every testing family helps make Ferda work better for everyone. We can't do this without you.

The story behind Ferda

Marek's children are growing up and want their own phone. Like every parent, he wants them to be safe. He talks to them about what to expect online. He teaches them what to avoid.

But he knows that's not enough — because predators are patient. They gain a child's trust slowly, in ways that even a well-informed child can't recognize.

That's the moment you need Ferda. Not instead of talking to your child, but as backup for when the conversation alone isn't enough.

— Marek, Ferda co-founder

Martin has worked in AI for years. He's always thought the technology matters less than what you point it at. Child safety felt like a problem where AI could actually help.

One day, a colleague told him the worst thing that can happen to a father had happened to him. He didn't need to say more. The Czech documentary Caught in the Net confirmed what Martin already suspected — this isn't rare. It's a problem affecting thousands of Czech families.

He set out to find whether AI could help keep children safer online. The answer is Ferda.

Common questions

Doesn't Ferda spy on my child?

No. Ferda protects, it doesn't spy. AI analyzes notifications and screen content to spot threats, but you never see that content. You only get an alert when something real comes up.

Does my child know about Ferda?

Yes, always. Ferda runs in the open. Your child knows it's there.

What threats does Ferda detect?

Three categories: grooming (manipulative behavior by predators), cyberbullying (harassment, threats, exclusion), and self-harm indicators (signs of depression or suicidal ideation).

Does Ferda work on iPhone?

Ferda will launch on Android. We'd love to support iOS too, but Apple's platform restrictions make it harder. We're looking into it.

Where is my data stored?

In the European Union. Your data's security and privacy matter to us. Safe and irrelevant messages are deleted as soon as possible. For suspicious contacts or conversations, AI keeps the history longer to spot patterns — predators build trust slowly and AI needs to see the full context. All data is stored securely and protected. Ferda is GDPR compliant. We don't sell data to anyone.

How much does Ferda cost?

Planned pricing starts at 249 CZK/month per child. Annual plans will be cheaper. Early supporters get a discount.

What if the AI makes a mistake?

It will make mistakes. Sometimes it'll flag something harmless, sometimes it'll miss something real. We're upfront about that. The AI learns from these errors and improves over time.

Can my child turn off Ferda?

Ferda is designed to run continuously. If your child disables or uninstalls it, you're notified immediately.
