Building for Czech families

A calm childhood
in the digital world

A mobile app that uses AI to protect your child from online threats. You only see what truly matters.

Mobile app for Android · iOS coming soon

Nearly half of Czech children communicate with strangers online. That's not a reason to panic — but it is a reason to have someone watching out. The digital world brings incredible opportunities for children, but also risks we as parents don't always see. Ferda helps you stay informed without having to check every message.

Protection, not surveillance

AI analyzes notification and screen content to detect real threats. Data is securely stored on the server and deleted once deemed safe. As a parent, you only see alerts when something is genuinely wrong.

Your child knows

Ferda runs transparently. Your child knows the app is on their phone. We build trust between parent and child, not suspicion. A safety net, not a cage.

Smart, not annoying

No flood of notifications. No false alarms. AI filters the noise. You get peace of mind, not a second job.

1

Install Ferda

Download the mobile app on your child's phone. Setup takes 5 minutes. Your child knows Ferda is there.

2

AI watches over

AI reads and analyzes notification and screen content. Data is securely stored on the server and deleted once it is evaluated as safe.

3

Get notified when it matters

If something concerning is detected, you receive a clear alert with context and guidance on how to address it.

Ferda starts on Android. iOS version is planned — Apple's platform has technical limitations for notification monitoring that we're working to address transparently.

Is Ferda for you?

  • Parents of children aged 8–15 who are getting their first phone or are already online
  • Families who want their child to be safe — but don't want to spy on them
  • Parents who believe in open communication but know it's not always enough
  • Anyone who wants peace of mind without becoming a surveillance analyst
01

AI detection of real threats

AI reads your child's notification and screen content to detect dangerous patterns — like having a trained expert quietly reviewing for signs of danger.

The AI is trained on Czech language — it understands Czech communication patterns, slang, and context. This isn't a translated English product. Content is securely processed on the server and deleted once evaluated as safe. It detects three categories: grooming, cyberbullying, and self-harm indicators.

Parents don't see message content — only alerts when AI detects a real threat. Content is shared with parents only in emergencies or when a problematic pattern is confirmed. No technology is perfect — but Ferda is a powerful safety net that gets better over time.

02

Private from parents, protected by AI

AI reads message and screen content to keep your child safe — but parents don't see it. Your child's conversations with friends, their jokes, their daily chats — all hidden from you.

Only when AI detects a real threat — someone trying to manipulate your child, persistent bullying, signs of self-harm — does Ferda alert you and share relevant context. Think of it as a lifeguard at the pool. The lifeguard watches closely — but only reports real danger to parents.

Children need privacy from parents to develop. Research shows that when parents read every message, it damages trust. With Ferda, AI ensures safety while you respect your child's privacy.

03

Transparency — your child knows

Many monitoring apps hide on the child's phone. If your child finds them, trust is destroyed. Ferda takes the opposite approach: the app is visible because honesty is the foundation of a safe family.

The child doesn't see the same data as the parent — they just know Ferda is there as a safety net. You can tell your child: "Ferda is here to keep you safe, not to spy on you. Your private conversations stay yours."

Transparency builds trust. Children who know about the app are more likely to come to parents with problems. Hidden apps teach children that secrecy is normal. Ferda teaches that safety and privacy can coexist.

04

Smart alerts for parents

You won't get 50 notifications a day. Ferda alerts you only when something truly needs your attention.

Each alert comes with context: what type of risk was detected, how serious it is, and a suggestion for how to approach the conversation with your child. Not a raw data dump — a curated insight that helps you act as a parent.

Other apps flood parents with data and expect them to figure it out. Ferda tells you what matters and helps you respond. You get peace of mind, not a second job.

Screen time management

Set daily limits for apps and overall screen time. Bedtime mode automatically locks distracting apps at night.

Safe zones

Define safe areas — school, home, grandparents'. Get a notification if your child leaves them.

SOS button

Your child can send you an instant emergency alert with one tap. Includes location.

Weekly reports

Regular summaries of your child's digital wellbeing. Trends, patterns, and suggestions.

The story behind Ferda

Marek's children are growing up and want their own phone. Like every parent, he wants them to be safe. He talks to them about what to expect online. He teaches them what to avoid.

But he knows that's not enough — because predators are smart. They gain a child's trust slowly, patiently, in ways that even a well-educated child can't see through.

That's exactly the moment you need Ferda. Not instead of talking to your child — but as a safety net for the moment when conversation alone isn't enough.

Common questions

Doesn't Ferda spy on my child?

AI reads notification and screen content to detect threats — but parents don't see this content. All data is securely stored and deleted once deemed safe. Parents only receive alerts when a real threat is detected, and only then is relevant context shared with them.

Does my child know about Ferda?

Yes, always. Ferda runs transparently. We believe hidden monitoring destroys trust. Your child knows Ferda is there as a safety net.

What threats does Ferda detect?

Three categories: grooming (manipulative behavior by predators), cyberbullying (harassment, threats, exclusion), and self-harm indicators (signs of depression or suicidal ideation).

Does Ferda work on iPhone?

Ferda launches on Android first. Apple's platform has technical limitations for notification monitoring. We're actively working on an iOS solution and will share updates.

Where is my data stored?

In the European Union. Analyzed content is securely stored on the server and deleted once evaluated as safe. Ferda is GDPR compliant. We don't sell data to third parties. Your family's privacy is our core principle.

How much does Ferda cost?

Expected pricing is from 249 CZK/month per child with annual plans. Final pricing will be confirmed at launch. Early supporters may receive special offers.

What if the AI makes a mistake?

No technology is perfect. Ferda may occasionally flag something that isn't a threat (false positive) or miss something that is (false negative). We're transparent about this. Ferda is a safety net, not a guarantee — but a powerful one that gets better over time.

Can my child turn off Ferda?

Ferda is designed to be persistent. If the app is disabled or uninstalled, the parent is immediately notified. But we encourage having an open conversation with your child about why Ferda is there.
